Wear
White T-shirtunder a jacket.
Collar, thickness and length decide whether the result feels sharp, relaxed or unfinished.

STARTING POINT
The jacket frames the T-shirt. Everything still visible matters more.
Once the jacket is on, what remains visible is mostly the neckline, the upper chest and sometimes the hem. Those are the areas to observe before looking for a right or wrong outfit.
The collar becomesthe foreground.
A collar sitting relatively close to the neck creates a clean line under the lapels. A more open neckline shows more skin and feels more relaxed.
The useful question is not “which collar should I wear?”, but: how much white and skin do you want to see between the lapels?

The contrast of the jacket immediately draws the eye to the white neckline.
Thickness changesthe presence of white.
A thin jersey follows the body more closely and may reveal lines underneath. A more constructed fabric keeps a cleaner surface, but can also create more volume under a fitted jacket.
Fabric weight, when stated, gives an indication. It does not predict opacity, stiffness or comfort on its own.
Understand 180 g/m² →The fit must workwith the jacket.
A roomy jacket can take a straight or generous T-shirt without visible tension. Under a closer jacket, excess fabric can form folds across the chest or under the arms.
The point is not to match two size labels, but to compare the real volumes of both garments.
Observe folds across the chest and sleeve position.
Observe how the two fabrics fall together.
Length decideswhat shows below.
If the T-shirt is worn untucked, its hem becomes an extra line below the jacket. The lower it sits, the more it changes the proportions between torso and legs.
If it is tucked in, length still matters: there must be enough fabric to stay in place without creating too much bulk at the waist.
REMEMBER
Look at the result, not the category.
Close or open collar, thin or constructed fabric, tucked or untucked T-shirt: no option is universally better. TheWhiteTee describes the effects so you can choose the result you want.
